Goa Fire Cyclothon – 2021

The National Fire Service Day was held on Wednesday 14th April 2021 at Fire Force Headquarters, Training Ground, St.Inez, Panaji. As a part of the Fire Prevention Week the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, St. Inez, Panaji organised a Symbolic 50km Cyclothon to spread awareness of the Theme: “Maintenance of Fire Safety Equipment is Key to Mitigate Fire Hazards” on 18.04.2021.

The Panaji Cycling Club along with their volunteer cyclist and Cyclist from the Fire & Emergency Services totaling to 40 cyclist participated. The route was from Fire Brigade Ground -Miramar – Dominos Donapaula- Divja Circle – Ribander- Old Goa – Banastari Junction – Marcel – Gaundalim- Old Goa – Ribandar- Divja Circle – Miramar – Varando Da Mar – Fire Brigade Ground.

The Cyclothon event was flagged off by Shri. Mekala Chaitanya Prasad, IAS Special Secretary (Home) in presence of Shri. Ajit Roy , Collector, North Goa & Shri. Ashok Menon, Director, Fire & Emergency Services. The event adhered to all advisory issued with respect to COVID-19.
