The Special Course in General Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting of Batch No. XXIX for Employees of Taj Group of Hotels was conducted by this Directorate w.e.f 17.09.2022 to 01.10.2022, wherein 36 Trainees from across the State of India have successfully undergone 15 days Training. The Training was comprised of both Theoretical and Practical Classes.
Shri Nitin Raiker, Director, Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, Panaji, was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function. and Shri. Anmol Ahluwalia, Cluster General Manager North Goa, Shri. Souvik Bhattacharya, General Manager, Taj Holiday Village, Shri. Savio Dmello Security Manager, Taj Fort Aguada Shri. Rajendra Haldankar, Divisional Officer Central & South Zone, Shri Ajit Kamat, Asst. Divisional Officer and other Officers & Staff of the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services attended the function.
During the training the trainees were subjected to various topics on Fire Prevention and Protection Measures such as Fixed Fire Fighting Installation, Evacuation Drill Procedure, Technological Advancement in the field of Fire Fighting, Disaster Management etc. Guest Faculties such as Shri. Arvind Mandke, ex. Chief Fire Officer, CIDCO, Shri. Praveen Khemka from Tuffwud conducted Theoretical Classes for the Trainees. The Department till date has successfully Trained 705 Trainees from Taj Group of Hotels.
Shri. Ravi H. Naik, Station Fire Officer compered the function and Shri. Shripad Gawas, Station Fire Officer, Fire Prevention Section proposed the Vote of Thanks
