Major Incident Reporting via automated eSMS & emails.

This is to inform that the department diligently collects information regarding fire and emergency calls received & attended and publishes them in real time to the departmental website https://dfes.goa.gov.in. The live information is available at the link https://dfes.goa.gov.in/disaster-management/live-calls. This information is further instantly pushed through to the HoD, Zonal Incharge and Officer Incharge/Station Fire Officers for ready reference by utilizing services provided by NIC viz NIC Relay and NIC SMS gateway and the same has been successfully functioning for the past 1 year. Now, it is proposed to extend this notification system to stakeholders outside the department including officials of the Disaster Management Cell of both districts and Print & Electronic Media and any other interested persons. The aim of broadcasting this information is to loop in and alert, in real-time, concerned officials of the Disaster management Cell and the Print & Electronic Media about major Fire & Non-fire Incidents being attended by the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, so that recipients are well informed about the same for early response, decision making, preparedness & mitigation. The notifications can come either as an eSMS, email or both depending on how the user registers on the DFES website (https://dfes.goa.gov.in). The Registration is purely voluntary and there is no financial implication on the registrant. The Registration Procedure for receiving eSMS/email on real time incidents to the various stakeholders of the DMA and Print & Electronic Media is attached herewith. Request all to avail the services.
