The Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services has established Goa State Fire Force Training Centre at Panaji, since 1985 where 15 tailor made courses for the Government, Semi-Government, Banking Sector, Private Sponsor Candidates, Industry, Hospitality Industry, Citizen Volunteers etc are being conducted on regular basis.

A total of 47,459 candidates from different parts of the country have attended various types of courses ranging from 1 day training to 6 months strenuous General Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Course at the Goa State Fire Force Training Centre, located at St.Inez, Panaji.

This Training Centre is identified as the Regional Training Centre by the Directorate General Civil Defence & National Disaster Response Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. It is also accredited to the National Fire Service College, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for conducting junior officers’ course. The Training Courses includes some courses of residential in nature, thus a Hostel Building is made available for the trainees. The Hostel can accommodate 40 trainees with one residential accommodation for Warden.
