The 39th Annual Raising Day Function was held by the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services at the Fire Force Regional Training Centre, St-Inez, Panaji-Goa on 21st January 2023 at 15:30 hrs. wherein 61 students of Fire Personnel across the State of Goa were awarded Scholarship.
Shri. Nitin V. Raiker, Director, Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services congratulated all the students who received the Scholarships for the year 2021-22 and advised them to excel in their studies and achieve success for their future academic career. He stated that the Goa Fire Service Welfare Fund in the past has also provided financial assistance to the needy children who are pursuing their higher education in the professional colleges. Further he also stated that the Managing Committee has decided to further extend assistance to the needy and deserving students and have decided to provide financial assistance with the approval of the Government.
The Annual Raising Day function commence with a welcome song performed by Pandurang Bramheshwar Mandal Akhada St. Estevam. Shri. Nitin V. Raiker, Director, Fire & Emergency Services was the Chief Guest for the function. Amongst the other present were Shri Rajendra A. Haldankar, Divisional Officer, Ajit Kamat, Asst. Divisional Officer, North Zone, Shri. Deepak Sawant, Hon. Secretary, Goa Fire Service Welfare Fund & Smt. Neha Nitin Raiker also graced the occasion. Shri. Shripad Gawas, Station Fire Officer compered the function & proposed the Vote of Thanks.
