As a prelude to the National Fire Service Day on 14th April 2018, the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services had organized Poster Competition to enhance the level of awareness among the citizens with stress on school children. The National Theme for the year is:

“Fire Loss is National Loss – Let us adopt Fire Safety Measures”

" आग से हानि राष्ट्रीय नुकसान - आइए मिलकर अग्नि सुरक्षा उपायों को अपनायें "

As a part of this awareness campaign a Poster Competition was organized for the Primary and Middle School Children of the State on 08th April 2018. The Competition was divided into two groups, GroupI (7-10 years) – Topic: “Safe Fire Unsafe Fire” and Group II (11-14 years)– Topic: “Fire Accidents can be Prevented”.

A total of 736 students from schools all over the state participated in the Poster Competition. Prizes were awarded to the students who stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Poster Competition in both Groups on 14th April 2018, National Fire Service Day at the hands of Shri. Dharmendra Sharma, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Goa.
