The Department has procured 05 Nos. of Quick Response Fire Tender under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (Lok Sabha), South Goa. Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Goa and Adv. Narendra Sawaikar, Ex-Member of Parliament, South Goa in presence of Shri. Ashok Menon, Director, Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services and Shri. Ajit Kamat Assistant Divisional Officer, North Zone inaugurated the Quick Response Fire Tenders on 29/05/2019 at 10:30 hrs. at Fire Force Headquarters Training Ground, St.Inez Panaji Goa. The Quick Response Fire Tenders are deployed at Fire Station Canacona, Margao, Verna, Vasco & Ponda.

The Quick Response Fire Tender vehicles are (QRFT) built on 4x4 double cab chassis on TATA Xenon vehicle. 04 Nos. of Crew members can be accommodated in the vehicle which also has an inbuilt A/C unit for the crew. The vehicle is mounted with a Water Mist Technology pump along with Fire Fighting and Rescue Types of equipment. The Water Tank is mounted on the rear side of the vehicle has a capacity of 350 liters attached with 60 meters. High-Pressure Hose Reel Hose with a high-pressure gun which gives a jet throw of 12 to 15 meters. with an output of 100 meters. per minute. The vehicles will be utilized for attending fire incidents in interior hilly areas and the coastal belt.
