15th August 2018, Independence Day was celebrated at Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, St-Inez, Panaji-Goa. Shri Ashok Menon, Director, Fire & Emergency Services unfurled the tri colour and greeted all Personnel of the Department.

The Annual Medical Check-up Camp for the Fire & Emergency Services Personnel was held on the occasion of Independence Day at the Fire Force Headquarters, St, Inez, Panaji, in Association with Indian Medical Association, Tiswadi Branch, Deccan Fine Chemical (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town. A total of 79 Fire Personnel attended the camp. These personnel were earlier subjected to pathological diagnostic tests like Sugar (FBSL) & Total Cholesterol including ECG. This medical check-up camp is an annual feature aimed at the welfare of the staff and is being conducted for the Fire Personnel during the past six years.

A panel of eminent Doctors of Indian Medical Association, Tiswadi Branch compromising of Dr. Vijay R. Naik (President- IMA Tiswadi), Dr. Mahendra Kuchadkar, Dr. Deep Bhandare, Dr. Dayanand Naiyan, Dr. Sumant Prabhudesai, Dr. Akashdeep S. Arora undertook the physical examination of the Department Officials. Shri Gaurish Bhende (Safety Officer, Deccan Fine Chemicals), Rtn. Santosh Shetye (President, Rotary Club), Rtn. Gauresh Nayak (Secretary), Rtn. Prakash Kapadia, Rtn. Anand Madgaonkar, Rtn. Hanoor Ibrahim, Rtn. R. Ashok, Rtn. Mahesh Patil (Past Secretary) , Annettep Smita Patil, Shri K.K. Shekhar (President, FSAI Goa Chapter) & Shri Rajendra A. Haldankar, Divisional Officer, Central Zone, Ponda also graced the occasion.
